Mysuru: Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, popularly known as the Mysore Zoo, has procured a pair of Lion Tailed Macaques from Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Chennai, under animal exchange programme which arrived to Mysore Zoo on June 17 are under quarantine.
A male and a female leopard cats which were rescued in Virajpet and Kushalnagar ranges on Apr. 22 and May 14 have been put on display in the Zoo after the completion of their quarantine period.
Two Swamp Deer fawns and three Gaur calves born in the months of May and June, 2017 and two Dusky Lory chicks, hatched in the Zoo’s aviary on June 7, 2017 have also been put on display.
A Tufted Capuchin Monkey baby, born on Apr. 23, 2017, is being nursed at the Zoo Hospital in a baby incubator.
