Nanjangud: A newborn baby boy’s body was found floating in an irrigation canal near Geekalli in the taluk yesterday.
The passersby who noticed the body, alerted the Police. On receipt of information, Biligere Police led by Sub-Inspector Yeshwanthkumar rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
Biligere Police, who have registered a case, are investigating the death of the baby boy.
This heinous incident drew criticism from people of various quarters of the society.
