New-born baby girl found abandoned in bush, rescued

Nanjangud: A new-born baby girl, which was found abandoned in a bush at an agricultural field at Naganapura in the taluk, was rescued of late. According to a complaint lodged at Hullahalli Police Station on Oct. 24, it is said the villagers heard a baby crying from the bushes at a field and informed the local Police. The Police later admitted the baby at Cheluvamba Hospital in Mysuru.

As is the procedure, in the wake of no claimants, the Child Development Planning Officer (CDPO) Geethalakshmi has decided to handover the baby, which is said to be healthy, for further care and protection to Child Welfare Organisation in Mysuru. A case has been registered in this regard at Hullahalli Police Station.
