New Chairman, Vice-Chairman for CII-Mysuru Zone

Mysuru/Mysore: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a premium industry body in India celebrating its 125th year in 2020, got its new office-bearers to lead the Mysuru Zonal Council for the year 2020-2021. 

Amit Kumar, currently Vice- Chairman of CII Mysuru and Vice-President and Head, Metering and Protection System, Larsen and Toubro Ltd., Mysuru, took over as the Chairman of Mysuru Zone recently while Pavan G. Ranga, CEO, Rangsons Technologies LLP, as its Vice- Chairman.  

Profiles:  Amit Kumar has worked in the solar photovoltaic industry for 18 years. He is an Electrical Engineer and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management.  Amit Kumar is a widely travelled professional and has delivered lectures on renewable energy in more than 12 countries.

Pavan G. Ranga, a third generation entrepreneur, is a Managing Partner of N. R. Group, a diversified business group with interests in Fragrance, FMCG, Natural Extracts, Aerospace and Healthcare. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from SJCE, an MBA from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and has attended an Executive Management Programme at Harvard Business School.  He was ranked 26th in “The Most influential people globally in the Electronics Manufacturing industry” in the survey conducted by Venture Outsource.

In his acceptance speech,  Amit Kumar said that it is time for Mysuru to come out of the shadow of Bengaluru or any other metros for that sake.  Mysuru has the capabilities to grow on its own and with the growing infrastructure and industries in and around, this city will gain its own brand as any other metro cities in the country.

Outgoing Chairman, Bhaskar Kalale said, he has learned many good things during his stint of two years in CII as Vice- Chairman and subsequently as Chairman of the Mysuru Zone. He thanked all the Past Chairmen, Panel Convenors and Co-Convenors for their support. 

Dr. N. Muthukumar, Past Chairman, CII Karnataka, lauded Bhaskar Kalale for his contribution to industry in Mysuru and greeted the new team.
