Mysore/Mysuru: New Commissioner of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Ashaad-ur-Rahman-Shariff has announced his plans to implement e-Budget in MCC.
Recalling his previous stint as Commissioner of Tumakuru City Corporation (TCC) between 2013 and 2017, Shariff said: “We all rely on mobile phone now. When I was the Commissioner of TCC, we had the rare distinction of presenting the country’s first e-Budget. To achieve the plans, laptops had been distributed to all the Corporators at the cost of Rs. 14 lakh. It is also a good decision on the part of MCC that the tabs have been given to all the Corporators. There is also a provision for paperless administration, by sending both the proposals and announcements through tab. With this let us make efforts towards implementing e-Budget and paperless administration.”
Praise for previous Commissioner
The Corporators, who greeted the newly appointed Commissioner of MCC Ashaad-ur-Rahman-Shariff, also lauded the style of functioning of the latter’s predecessor G. Lakshmikantha Reddy.
Corporator K.V. Sridhar said: “The previous Commissioner did a tremendous job and made honest efforts towards the development of the Corporation.”
Heaping praises, Corporator Ayub Khan said: “Lakshmikantha Reddy played a key role in improving the fiscal condition by addressing scarcity of funds. He also worked towards making payment for the bills of contractors.”
