Mysore/Mysuru: The newly appointed office-bearers of the Krishnaraja (KR) Youth Congress unit officially took charge at a function held yesterday at the Congress Bhavan on JLB Road in the city. The ceremony was inaugurated by Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) President H.S. Manjunath Gowda and KR Constituency Youth Congress President M.R. Hoysala, who congratulated the new team.
Addressing the gathering, H.S. Manjunath Gowda urged the new office-bearers and party workers to begin groundwork at the booth level to ensure the Congress party returns to power in the 2028 Assembly elections. “Youth Congress leaders must prioritise enrolling young voters and strengthening the organisation from the grassroots,” he said.
KR Youth Congress President M.R. Hoysala reiterated this commitment, stating that the new office-bearers would focus on building the party at the booth level by inducting new members.
“We will also launch a ‘No Drugs’ campaign to promote health awareness among youths. Additionally, Youth Congress members will visit every household in the KR Constituency to educate citizens about the benefits of the State Government’s five guarantee schemes,” he added.
