New MUDA Chairman Marigowda hospitalised; CM enquires health

Mysore/Mysuru: Following a mild stroke, Congress leader K. Marigowda, who was newly appointed as the Chairman of Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), was admitted to a hospital in the city on Monday.

Dr. H.V. Shushrutha, a Neurologist at Neuro Zone in the premises of Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital at Nazarbad in city, where Marigowda is undergoing treatment, told Star of Mysore this morning that “Marigowda came to the hospital at around 12.30 pm yesterday. Following MRI scanning, mild stroke was diagnosed in the report and he was admitted for treatment in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at around 2.30 pm.”

He said, “Marigowda will be shifted from ICU to ward today and will be kept for observation for a day till tomorrow, before discharging him day after tomorrow. However, his condition is stable.”

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who arrived in the city yesterday on a 3-day campaign tour ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, visited the hospital and enquired the health of Marigowda, who is also his close aide.

Mysuru District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Chamarajanagar District Minister K. Venkatesh, KPCC Working President & MLA Tanveer Sait, former MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah and others accompanied the CM to the hospital.
