New MUDA Chairman vouches for Mysuru’s development

Mysore/Mysuru: MUDA Chairman Yashaswi Somashekar said he will strive for the development of Mysuru during his tenure.

He was speaking after receiving felicitation by Mysuru Yoga Association at a programme held at NaMo Yoga Bhavan on Ramanuja road here recently. Noting that erstwhile Mysore rulers have contributed a lot for the growth of Mysuru, he said “such contributions have helped Mysuru find a place in global map.”

Observing that top brass in BJP at the Centre and the State have made him MUDA Chairman considering his services to the party, he said that he would work towards retaining their trust by doing his best for Mysuru.

Mysuru City and District Brahmins Association President D.T. Prakash who also spoke, wanted Somashekar to respond to the issues concerning the citizens of Mysuru.

Pointing out that Somashekar had handled various roles as a Rotarian, serving the society for long,  Prakash said “He as a BJP leader is involved in the organisational works of the party. It is happy to note that his (Somashekar) services have been recognised by the party leadership, which has entrusted him with a new responsibility.”

Achievers from different fields — Kalyan Kumar, M. Roopa and Aruna M. Gavade — were felicitated. Mysuru Yoga Association Hon. President B.V. Manjunath, Yoga teachers Prakash, P.R. Venkatesh, S. Sethuram and others were present.
