Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Abraham Thomas was re-elected as the President of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC) during the elections held, here yesterday. Out of the total 1,099 valid ballots, Dr. Abraham Thomas secured 900 votes defeating his nearest competitor Dr. S. Prasanna Shankar who managed poll in 199 votes.

Meanwhile, M.S. Yeshwanth, who secured 595 votes, was elected as Captain of Club defeating K.A. Anil Kumar who secured 504 votes. V. G. Achar, who polled in 574 votes was re-elected as the Hon. Secretary defeating A.S. Somesh who secured 525 votes.

Meanwhile, R.S. Nithish was also re-elected unopposed as the Hon. Treasurer of  the Club.

For the elections held to the Committee Members D.V. Sridhar (771 votes), H.C. Subramanya (714 votes), Sonam Chugh (707) were elected from the Playing Category while Vinay Natarajan (960 votes), N. Narendra Babu (958 votes) and N. Maneesh (859 votes) were elected to Managing Committee from the Open Category.
