Mysore/Mysuru: The meeting of SKAL International, Mysuru Chapter, was held at a private hotel in city recently.
B.S. Prashanth of Safe Wheels Tours and Travels, was elected as President while Mysuru Travels Association President C.A. Jayakumar as Vice-President, Mysuru Tourist Guides Association President S.J. Ashok as Secretary, Sabu Varghese of Coorg Cliffs Resort as Treasurer and Samarth Vaidya, CEO of MVG Holidays, as Director. SKAL International India President Carl Vaz administered the oath of office to the new office-bearers.
Speaking on the occasion, Prashanth said it is the responsibility of everyone involved in the tourism industry to make Mysuru city more tourist-friendly. Noting that the involvement of SKAL, an International Tourism organisation, will help in this regard, he appealed for the co-operation of everyone in making Mysuru a most favoured city.
SKAL International India Councillor Saravanan Palanivelu, Secretary Krishna Gopalan, Hotel Grand Mercure Managing Director Sunaina Manerkar, Industrialists Suresh Charles, Unni Krishnan, J.P. Urs, A.N. Aiyanna of Soukya Travels and others were present.
SKAL International India currently has 14 SKAL International Clubs located in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Goa, Trivandrum, Cochin, Srinagar, Mumbai South, Coimbatore and Mysuru. SKAL International Mysuru consists of hoteliers, airlines, travel and tour operators, Hotel Management Institutions and Government agencies from Mysuru and surrounding areas of Kodagu, Bandipur and Kabini.
