Mysuru: A.S. Satish, President of Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), has been elected as President for Mysore District Small Scale Industries Association (MDSSIA) at its Annual General Body Meeting held at Hotel Royal Inn on May 21. The other office-bearers are: P. Kumar (Natural Ice Creams), Vice-President, C.M. Subramanian (Deepak Tools Heat Treaters), Hon. Secretary, Arumugham, Hon. Joint Secretary and M. Abhishek (MGM Computers), Hon. Treasurer. The  Executive Committee members are: H.D. Raghavendra, N.H. Jayantha, Lingaraj, Padmanabha, Jayaram, Suryanarayan and Manjunath.

MDSSIA was started in the year 1964-65 by a group of young entrepreneurs. MDSSIA is the only apex body in Mysore District for Small Scale Industries. This year many programmes have been planned including seminars, exhibitions and interaction with various Government Departments regarding the problems faced by SSIs in Mysore District.

At the meeting it was decided to invite all the Micro and Small Scale Industries who are not members to become the members of this Association. All the SSI Associations may also become associate members.
