Mysuru, Oct. 29- The new team of Mysore University Library and Information Science Students’ Association (MULISSA) was formed at the Department of Studies in Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, recently.
The event, held at Dr. S.R. Ranganathan Seminar Hall in the presence of faculty members, research scholars and MLISc students, was presided by Prof. N.S. Harinarayana, Chairman of the Department.
The Association aims to promote students’ overall development, foster teamwork, build leadership qualities and strengthen Department’s academic and cultural environment.
Senior Professor Dr. M. Chandrashekara administered oath. The following were unanimously elected as office-bearers of MULISSA for 2025-26:
President – Prof. N.S. Harinarayana, Chairman of the Department; Faculty Advisor – Dr. M. Sunil Kumar, Guest Faculty; Secretary – R. Rakesh; Joint Secretary – H.C. Sachin; Treasurer – D. Suprita; Members – S. Annapoorna, K.L. Manoj, T.M. Pavan Kumar, S. Rachappaji, M.S. Sanjaykumar and K. Sona.
An interactive session titled “Yes, You Can Speak English” was conducted by Srinivasa Rao, a soft skills trainer, for students from rural and Kannada-medium backgrounds.
Faculty members Prof. H. Adithya Kumari and Dr. B. Nivedita were also present.
