Bengaluru: In a significant administrative reshuffle coinciding with New Year, the State Government has promoted 67 IPS and 23 IFS Officers, with some retaining their current positions while others have been transferred to new roles.

Mysuru City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar and Mysuru Superintendent of Police (SP) N. Vishnuvardhana have been promoted but instructed to continue in their current positions.

Prominent appointments include: Raman Gupta: Appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police (Intelligence), Bengaluru City, Vikash Kumar Vikash: Posted as Inspector General and Additional Commissioner of Police (West), Bengaluru City, Dr. Chetan Singh Rathor: Promoted to Inspector General of Police (IGP – Northern Range), Belagavi, Amit Singh: Promoted to IGP (Western Range), Mangaluru, N. Shashi Kumar: Appointed as IGP and Commissioner of Police, Hubli-Dharwad City and Dr. Y.S. Ravi Kumar: Promoted to IGP (Security Intelligence); C. Vamsi Krishna: Deputy IGP, Recruitment, Karthik Reddy: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Administration, State Police Headquarters, Bengaluru, Renuka K. Sukumar: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement, Bengaluru and Kuldeep Kumar R. Jain: Jt. Commissioner of Police (Administration), Bengaluru City.
