Mysore/Mysuru: A woman, who was married about 4 to 5 months ago, has committed suicide at Kyathamaranahalli yesterday evening.

The deceased woman had married Vinay of Kyathamaranahalli, with whom she was in love about five months ago despite opposition from her parents.

Police said that Vinay used to torture her daily and depressed over this she is said to have taken the extreme step.

Meanwhile, the deceased woman’s parents in their complaint with Udayagiri Police have stated that Vinay used to come home drunk daily and torture their daughter.

They have also alleged that Vinay had murdered their daughter and has gone absconding.

Udayagiri Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
