Newly-wed killed as goods vehicle hits bike

Nanjangud: A newly-wed, who was riding pillion, was killed on the spot, when a speeding goods vehicle hit the bike at Hullahalli Circle in the town on Tuesday.

The deceased is Sinchana (21), daughter of Parashivamurhy of Heggavadi village in Chamarajanagar taluk, who was given in marriage to Diwakar of Basavanapura village in the taluk five months ago.

Sinchana was pursuing her studies at the Government First Grade College in the town. On Tuesday, Sinchana had gone to the College and was returning home with her husband on their bike. When they were proceeding near Hullahalli Circle, a speeding goods vehicle reportedly hit the bike from behind killing Sinchana on the spot, according to Traffic Police.

A case has been registered at Nanjangud Traffic Police Station.
