NGO lends Cell Counter Machine to K.R. Hospital

Mysuru: City-based NGO  I Serve Nation has extended a helping hand to  K.R. Hospital by lending a Cell Counter Machine to the Blood Testing Laboratory here this morning till the hospital gets a new machine. The NGO has also deployed two technicians to operate the machine.

This Cell Counter Machine, which is capable of testing 300-400 blood samples per day, costs about Rs. 3.5 lakh and was being used at Mysore Diagnostic Centre of Dr. B.H. Manjunath, who is the BJP Mysuru City President.

Speaking after handing over the machine, former Minister Suresh Kumar said that when he visited the hospital about a week ago, there was a huge rush at the lab as there was only one Cell Counter Machine. Since there was a need for another machine, we had contacted Medical Education Minister Dr. Sharana Prakash Patil, who assured of providing one to K.R. Hospital lab, he said and added that till the lab gets the machine, Dr. Manjunath has lent the machine to the lab.

Mysore Medical College & Research Institute (MMC&RI) Dean and Director Dr. B. Krishnamurthy, K.R. Hospital In-charge Medical Superintendent Dr. Chandrashekar and Dr. B.H. Manjunath were present.
