Mysore/Mysuru: The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, along with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, will be organising the VTU Inter-Collegiate Mysuru Zone Kho-Kho Men Championships 2021-22 and Mysuru City Inter-Collegiate Weight Lifting & Best Physique Championship 2021-22 on June 17 (Friday) at NIE Golden Jubilee Sports field and Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex respectively.
The Engineering College Kho-Kho Men Teams of Mysuru, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Ramanagara Districts are expected to participate in the Kho-Kho Championship while all the Colleges of Mysuru City will be participating in the MCICT Weight Lifting & Best Physique Championships.
B.D. Kantharaja, Retd. Assistant Director of Physical Education, University of Mysore, will inaugurate the event at 9.30 am tomorrow.
Dr. Rohini Nagapadma, Principal, NIE, will preside. H.C. Sudina, Mysuru Zone Regional Director, Physical Education, VTU; Anthony Moses, Convener MCICT 2021-22, R. Kavya, Physical Education Director, NIE and Dr. K. Pushpalatha, Chairperson, NIE Sports Committee, will be present.
