Mysuru: The new batch of B.Sc. Nursing students of Government Nursing College, Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI), were administered the Nightingale Pledge, a formal oath emphasising ethical practice and patient welfare, by Assistant Professor N. Jyothi at the oath-taking ceremony held at Platinum Jubilee Hall, J.K. Grounds in city recently.
MMC & RI Dean and Director Dr. K.R. Dakshayani, who presided, said the College is equipped with clinical material facilities that should be judiciously used by the students and prepare themselves to provide quality service to people.

Nuthanasree, Medical Superintendent of K.R. Hospital Dr. H.P. Shobha, Medical Superintendent of Cheluvamba Hospital Dr. R. Sudha, Dr. C. Prashanth of PKTB Sanatorium, Resident Medical Officer of K.R. Hospital Dr. Nayaz Pasha, Cheluvamba Hospital’s Dr. Shivarama Krishna and Principal of Government Nursing School U.P. Chandrakala were present along with Nursing Superintendent of Cheluvamba Hospital Premavathi, K.R. Hospital’s D.B. Rathi, PKTB Sanatorium’s Sunandamma, Princess Krishnajammanni Super Speciality Hospital’s M.R. Manjunath and Trauma Care Centre’s N. Suchitra.
