Nirantara Kalemane to felicitate ‘Karnataka Kalashree’ awardees

Mysuru: Kumar Performing Arts Centre, Mysuru, will host the 49th International Nirantara Kalemane Festival on Dec. 22  at 2.30 pm at its Kalemane Sabhaangana in Hebbal.

During this festival, the following recipients of ‘Karnataka Kalashree’ Award presented by the Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy, will be honoured — Guru Gayathri Keshavan, Guru Dr. Mala Shashikanth, Guru Anuradha Vikrant, renowned dancer Sugganahally Shadakshari and multi-talented artiste K.S. Raghavendra.

Also, there will be a variety of cultural performances, including Bharatanatyam by the students of Guru Gayathri Keshavan; Mohiniyattam by Dr. Lakshmi Priya from Kerala and her students;  Bharatanatyam by the famous dancer Vidwan Girish from Tumakuru and his disciples; Kathak by Sanchita Lahoti from Bengaluru and her students;  Bharatanatyam by Mohan Raj from Chennai and Bharatanatyam by ‘Natya Mayuri’ Aishwarya from Bengaluru.
