Mysuru:  The Department of Higher Education (SC/ ST Cell) of Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) has nominated Dr. C. Manjunath of Mandya working as Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) in Mysuru, as a member of the National Monitoring Committee for Education of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disabilities (PWD).

The Committee, reconstituted after the expiry of term of the previous one, is effective from July 17 and has a tenure of three years. The Committee is headed by Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.

Profile: Dr. Manjunath has been a protagonist right from his student days. He has worked in many student organisations with good leadership skills. He has contributed immensely to the education sector.
