Mysore/Mysuru:  The State Government has nominated M. Shankar of Huyilalu village in the taluk as a Syndicate Member of the over a century old University of Mysore (UoM).

The Government had earlier nominated Dr. Basavaraju of Jattihundi village in Yelwal from the Backward Classes category as a Syndicate Member of UoM in Jan. 2024.

But now, the Government has withdrawn his nomination and nominated Shankar in his place, as per a notification issued by the Under-Secretary of Higher Education Department.
