Mysuru: As per the Government order, Horeyala Doreswamy, a writer from city has been nominated as a Member of the Executive Body of National Saint Poet Kanakadasa Study and Research Centre, Bengaluru.
Profile: Horeyala Doreswamy, a resident of Vivekanandanagar here has served for 10 years in the Department of Kannada Studies of University of Mysore and had stayed at Kaginele, the Workstation of Kanakadasa.
He authored ‘Kaginele’ on the great Saint Poet and has also written volumes on Kanakadasa and Purandaradasa. He has also come out with works on folklore, children literature, short stories, novels and plays ,numbering over 46 books.
