Mysore/Mysuru: Animal-lover Dr. S.K. Mittal has been nominated as Regional Chairman of Karnataka State Animal Welfare Board, Government  of Karnataka, for Mysuru Region consisting of Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Hassan, Chikmagalur, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts. 

Earlier, Dr. Mittal had also inspected most of the Districts as Chairman of  Kerala and Karnataka Animal Welfare Board, Government of India. He will be in charge of the safety, preservation, economic development, assistance and overall monitoring in these districts.
