Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Renu Agrawal, former Chief Scientist and Rural Programme Coordinator, Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, has been nominated to the National Expert Committee of the International Cooperation Division of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, under Agriculture and Food Processing, to shortlist Indian Young Scientists for 1st (SCO) Young Scientists Conclave which will be hosted by India from Nov. 24 to Nov.28.
Young Indian scientists with innovative ideas can apply for the Fellowship. This will include candidates from eight countries namely, India, China, Russia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Dr. Renu has also been nominated recently in Women Fellowship of KIRAN scheme of DST in which women who had break in their careers can apply for Fellowship.
Presently, she is serving in a number of Committees of DST, Ministry of Science and Technology. She is also serving in the Sustainable Development Goal 2, Smart City in Karnataka by Government of India, mentoring interns of SDG 2 of Government of Karnataka and training the Corporators and Health Inspectors at SIUD, Mysuru.
Besides, she is an Executive Committee Member of National Academy of Biological Sciences and an Advisor at Centre for Quality and Food Safety (CQFS).
