Mysuru: Dr. Renu Agrawal, Ex-Chief Scientist, Rural Development Co-ordinator, Project Advisor, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, has been nominated for National Expert Advisory Committee for Augmenting Writing Skills for Articulating Research (AWSAR) award for three years.
This new initiative of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, will be a bridge between research and communication which will utilise the potential of Ph.D scholars and Post-Doctoral Fellows. The best popular science stories will be given cash awards.
Dr. Renu Agrawal has been recognised for her work by Rex-UN with Karamveer Chakra and Global Fellow, Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement Award and Nari Shakti National Award. She is serving in the expert Committees of Young Scientists and Technologists, ASAR and CODER for projects in desert and cold desert areas, KIRAN scheme of Indo-US Fellowship Forum, Deen Dayal Gram Sankal Pariyojna, National Children’s Science Congress. All these Committees are of DST (Department of Science and Technology), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
She is also an Executive Member of National Academy of Biological Sciences.
