Mysuru: Dismissing allegations that he had insulted the Constitution and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, former MLC and BJP leader G. Madhusudan has alleged that the Congress was behind the unnecessary row.
Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Madhusudan said that however, he was ready to apologise if anyone felt hurt by his recent remarks in a television channel.
Claiming that he had nowhere insulted Dr. Ambedkar in his interview to the TV channel, Madhusudan accused the Congress of unnecessarily targeting the BJP over the row.
Pointing out that the Union Government has come up with a plan to develop 5 places (called as Panchateertha) connected to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Madhusudan said the Congress was making unnecessary ruckus over the row, unable to digest the Centre’s programmes for the welfare of Dalits. He further alleged that the Congress which played a keyrole in Dr. Ambedkar’s defeat in Lok Sabha polls, is now levelling baseless charges against the BJP.
