9 Royal Enfield bikes, five other two-wheelers worth Rs. 15 lakh recovered
Mysore/Mysuru: Kuvempunagar Police, on July 15, have arrested two notorious two-wheeler lifters and have recovered 14 two-wheelers including nine Royal Enfield bikes from them.
The arrested two-wheeler thieves are 20-year-old K. Karthik Nayak, a native of H.D. Kote and presently residing in BEML Layout, Rajarajeshwari Nagar and 32-year-old K.S. Kiran, a resident of J.P. Nagar in city.
Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered nine Royal Enfield bikes, three Honda Activa scooters, one Bajaj Pulsar bike and one Yamaha R15 bike all worth Rs. 15 lakh from them. The Cops have also recovered two mobile phones worth Rs. 11,000 too. Following their arrest, the Police have solved five cases in Kuvempunagar Police Station, three in Ramanagar, two in Saraswathipuram and one case each in Ashokapuram, Vijayanagar, Alanahalli and Nanjangud Town Police Stations.
DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and K.R. Sub-Division ACP Gangadharaswamy guided Kuvempunagar Inspector Shanmuga Varma, Sub-Inspectors M. Radha and Gopal, ASI S. Mahadev and staff M.P. Manjunath, N.K. Puttappa, M.C. Yogesh, Nagesh, Hazarath, Srinivas, Manju, Shivakumar, Suresh Kuratti, Prasanna, Karthik, Venkatesh, Mukund, Naveen and others in the nabbing and recovery operation.
