They gave fake jewellery and bought original gold ornaments
Mysuru: Two women, who went to a jewellery store on Bengaluru-Nilgiri Road (B.N. Road), have cheated the shop owner by giving fake gold ornaments and buying original gold ornaments weighing 58 grams on Saturday.
The incident took place at Vayvidya Jewels on B.N. Road in Lashkar Mohalla here.
On Dec.28 at about 11.30 am, the two women, who came to Vayvidya Jewels in the pretext of selling their gold jewellery and buying new gold jewellery, spoke with Yogesh of Vayvidya Jewels.
Yogesh, who examined the jewellery the women wanted to sell, agreed to buy them.
The women, after diverting the attention of Yogesh, handed over fake jewels weighing 72 grams to him and bought a 23 grams gold necklace and 35 grams gold mangalya chain from the store and left the place.
When the gold ornaments given by the women were checked again, the store owners came to know that they were fake ones and lodged a complaint at Lashkar Police Station in this regard.
