Mysuru: A ‘Flybrary’, a facility where air travellers can borrow, read and exchange books, was inaugurated at Mysore Airport yesterday by Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging reading among passengers and providing them with an alternative way to spend their waiting time at the airport.
Inaugurating the facility, Naidu appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of passenger-centric facilities at airports. He said initiatives such as the ‘Flybrary’ could make airports more welcoming and enhance the travel experience.
Airport Director P.V. Usha Kumari, Regional Executive Director Muruganandam, Executive Director (CA&CS) Ramanathan, MP Dhanapal, senior officials of the Airports Authority of India, KSISF and IndiGo Airlines also attended the inauguration.
