‘Nritya Mahotsava’ tomorrow

Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), Mysuru, has organised Purandaradasa and Thyagaraja Aaradhana Nritya Mahotsava on Mar. 27 at 4.30 pm at Kalemane Sabhaangana in Hebbal. KPAC has organised a Guruvandana and Kalemane Award Ceremony to Senior Artistes and Gurus in the field of Bharatanatyam and Karnatak Classical Music.

Guruvandana and Kalemane Award is conferred on Guru Pustakam Rama in the field of Karnatak Classical Music (Vocal). The Kalemane Award is conferred on Senior Guru Lalitha Core M. Rao, Guru Dr. P.M. Chethana Radhakrishna, Guru T.S. Sreelakshmi Kumar and Dr. Rohitha Eswer – Bharatanatyam, Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad (Flute), Vid. Mysore Srinath (Vocal) and Vid. P. Janardhana Rao (Mridanga) – Karnatak Classical Music.

The programme will continue with Bharatanatyam performances by the students of Raasavrunda, KPAC, Mysuru, Uma Maheswari Nrutya Kalakshetra and Gurudeva Lalithakala Academy, for compositions of Purandaradasa and Pancharatna Kritis of Sri Thyagaraja Swamy. [Mob: 98866-54887]
