Nrityagiri to host ‘Nada Nritya’

Mysuru:  Nrityagiri – Performing Arts and Research Centre, Mysuru, will be presenting ‘Nada Nritya,’ a special evening of Indian classical arts featuring two artistes based in New Jersey, USA, at its premises in Preethi Layout, Srirampura, Mysuru, tomorrow (Feb. 19) from 6 pm to 8 pm.

The evening will include an instrumental morching concert by Ranga Ram Sheshadri, an Assistant Engineer with the State of New York and a dedicated morching artiste. He has received training under his guru T.S. Nandakumar and continues to present this traditional percussion art form with commitment.

He will be accompanied by Vidu. H.L. Nagasree on vocal, Vid. Dasappa on mridanga and  Vid. Yashaswee on violin.

This will be followed by a Bharatanatyam recital by Vidu. Bhargavi Sheshadri (wife of Ranga Ram Sheshadri), a senior disciple of Nrityagiri and Founder of Nritya Ranga Performing Arts Academy, New Jersey. Professionally a nutritionist with the WIC programme, she is a dedicated Bharatanatyam practitioner and teacher who actively promotes Indian classical dance through performance and training.
