Nruthya Bhushana-2024: National Classical Dance Festival in city on Nov. 29, 30

Mysur: ‘Nruthya Bhushana-2024,’ a National Classical Dance Festival has been organised on Nov. 29 and 30 at Vasundhara Bhavan of Kalandika Academy of Arts in Saraswathipuram here. Entry for the event is free.

This Festival is hosted by Bhushans Academy of Performing Arts and Visual Presentation, Mysuru, headed by Internationally acclaimed Bharatanatyam artiste Gurus, Badari Divya Bhushan and Dr. Anjana Bhushan, popularly known as ‘Bhushans,’ since 2007.

Artistes from across India have been chosen meticulously to be a part of this Festival. Performances will be in the form of solo, duet, couple and group presentations which will be a visual treat for the art-lovers. Different classical forms like Bhratanatyam, Odissi and Kathak with specially worked themes will be presented.

November 29 (Friday)

6.15 pm: Inauguration by Karnataka Kalasree Revathi Kamath and Internationally Acclaimed Bharatanatyam artiste Guru Padmini Ravi.

6.30 pm: Bhakt, a dance feature by Padmini Ravi, Lakshmi Ramesh and Shruthi Rao.

7.35 pm: Andal – by Bharatanatyam exponent, Guru Soundarya Srivatsa and artistes of Narthana Keertana.

November 30 (Saturday)

6.15 pm: Guru Poornima Gururaja and artistes of Kalasindhu, Bengaluru, will present Kshetra  Kavya, a conceptual dance production.

7.15 pm: Bhushans, along with their sons, Abhyuday Dhyan Bhushan and Abhignan Vedant Bhushan, will be presenting a mega musical dance theatrical — Colours of Krishna — with a beautiful blend of Odissi by Anushree Padmanabha and team and Kathak by Sohini Karanth and team. This production will also feature Thanmayi, Tanisha and team.
