‘Nrutyopasana’ enthrals audience

Mysuru: The day-2 of ‘Nrutyopasana’ dance festival organised by Kala Sandesha Prathistana at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha recently featured dance concerts by senior students.  On the second day of the festival, the Bharatanatyam Marga, a traditional dance form, was performed by the young artistes of the institution (from senior experienced students). The dance presentation started with melaprapthi, jathiswara, padam, devaranama and concluded with thillana. The supporting artistes included K. Sandesh Bhargav (Nattuvanga), Vid. Shriharsha (Vocal), Vid. Shivashankaraswamy (Mridanga), Vid. Narayan (Violin), Vid. K. Muralidhar (Flute) and Vid. Ananthakrishnaswami (Rhythm Pad).

The day-3 of ‘Nrutyopasana’ featuring dance-drama ‘Vishnu Praseeda-Mahishapuravasi’ was held at Kalamandira and was performed by the younger artistes of the Prathistana. The performance included Bharatanatya Nruthyabandhas and dance-drama. The concept and script of the dance-drama was by Dr. Jyothi Shankar. The accompanying artistes were Harikrishna (Nattuvanga), Shilaja (Vocal), Vid. Vikram (Mridanga), Vid. Narayan (Violin) Vid. K. Muralidhar (Flute) and Vid. Vinay Kumar (Rhythm Pad).
