NSS activities inaugurated at Vijaya Vittala PU College

Siddaramappa, Co-ordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mandya, is seen lighting the lamp to inaugurate NSS activities of Vijaya Vittala PU College (2017-18). Others seen are Ln. C.R. Dinesh, Coordinator of NSS Unit, Mysuru Division, H. Satyaprasad, Principal of the College and S.S. Ramesh, Programme Officer of NSS unit of the College.

Mysuru: NSS activities of Vijaya Vittala PU College, Saraswathipuram, for the year 2017-18 was inaugurated by Siddaramappa, Co-ordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mandya.

In his inaugural address, Siddaramappa said that the NSS unit of the College aims at motivating the youth to actively involve themselves in social service to contribute in building a strong nation. It facilitates students to involve in various activities like protecting environment, adopting green revolution and awareness towards health and hygiene. It also provides opportunities for students to take interest in social service and develop self-confidence and self-sufficiency. He advised the students to utilise opportunities efficiently to excel to the best of their abilities.

Ln. C.R. Dinesh, Co-ordinator of NSS Unit, Mysuru Division, who was the chief guest, said that by involving in NSS activities, students can enhance their interests in extending service to the poor and needy.

He also advised the students to adopt mutual harmony and coordination in order to help the needy which is the prime requirement of the present society beset with the unprivileged ones in need of help and service.

H. Satyaprasad, Principal of the College, in his presidential address, advised the students to participate in NSS activities and focus on developing positive attitudes to overcome all hurdles in life and learn to develop crisis management and strive for success.

S.S. Ramesh, Programme Officer of NSS unit of the College and K.V. Sanjaya, lecturer in Sanskrit, were also present.

The programme began with invocation by Vishrutha. Shreesha compered the programme. Pallavi welcomed. Meghana proposed a vote of thanks.
