Nursing profession needs a service mindset: Nursing Council President

Dr. T. Dileep Kumar inaugurates JSS Nursing College at Chamarajanagar

Mysore/Mysuru: Indian Nursing Council President Dr. T. Dileep Kumar said that though Nursing profession seems to be challenging in the beginning, one can find satisfaction in the profession if he/ she understands the service factor inherent in it.

He was speaking after inaugurating the JSS Nursing College at Chamarajanagar yesterday.

Observing that the Nursing profession demands discipline, dedication and determination, Dr. Dileep Kumar underlined the role of Nurses in health care.

Maintaining that Indian Nursing Education is in great demand everywhere, he said that Nursing also demands continuous learning. Noting that the Nursing College is a boon to the people of Chamarajanagar, he said that JSS institutions are known for discipline and service to                           the society.

RGUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr. M.K. Ramesh said that Mutts joined hands with the Government for eradicating poverty, illiteracy and such other social evils in the pre-independence days. Seers and Mutts have been rendering yeoman service to the society by establishing Educational Institutions, Hospitals, Hostels, etc., out of public charity, he asserted.

Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra swamiji graced the occasion. Chamarajanagar University Vice-Chancellor Dr. M.R.Gangadhar, Chamarajanagar Additional DC Katyayinidevi, Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences Dean and Director Dr. P. Sanjeev, JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath and others were present.
