Mysuru: A delegation of Odisha Wakf Board, comprising members Dr. Rabi Hussaini Gandhi, Advocate Md. Kamal Zafar, Shail Babu, Shaik Jalaluddin and Wakf Officer Mohamed Qais, visited city recently.
They were accompanied by Officer of Karnataka State Board of Auqaf, Mohamed Rizwanuddin.
The delegation was welcomed by Ariff A. Mehkri, Chairman, Mysore District Waqf Advisory Committee, who took them to various Waqf Institution like Muslim Boys Orphanage (Apna Ghar) in S.S. Nagar, Muslim Girls Orphanage (Phulwari) on Ashoka Road, Masjid-e-Ya Allah, near Government Guest House, Huda Public School in S.S. Nagar, Bannimantap, Al Ansaar Hospital and Muslim Hostel in Saraswathipuram.
They later left for Srirangaptna where they visited the tomb of Hazrath Tipu Sulthan Shaheed and paid their tributes.
They were accompanied by Jameel Ahmed, Vice-Chairman, Mysore District Waqf Advisory Committee, Members, Syed Akram Pasha, Mahmood Ali Khan, Hazrath Moulana Mufthi Syed Tajuddin, N. Anwar Pasha, Secretary, Muslim Boys Orphanage and Abdul Khaleel, Officer, Dist. Waqf Advisory Committee.
The delegation left for Bengaluru in the evening.
