‘Old generation has safeguarded moral values in Mysuru’

Mysuru: “The influence of globalisation has made such an impact on Benagaluru that it has lost all morals. Despite, closer to the silicon capital, Mysuru has retained the old morals,” said Thinker Dr. Banjagere Jayaprakash here recently.

He was speaking during an interaction with farmers after releasing the book ‘Yellavu Yellaru’ authored by Prof. H.S. Ramachandregowda at Maneyangala in Kalamandira premises.

“If at all there is some moral values retained in Mysuru it is because of older generation living in the city, which has inspired their future generations to follow the same values,” he added.

Stating that the days he spent at Maharaja’s College and Manasagangothri as a student were those which gave importance to morals, he said that currently people had become morally corrupt  and added that ‘Lankesh Pathrike’ had given the lessons to be morally strong and not to stand with a folded arms in front of people in power.

Author Prof. H.S. Ramachandregowda, Journalist Amshi Prasannakumar, farmers Rohit, Ksheerasagara, Indiramma, Girish, Shivanagappa and others were present during the interaction programme.
