Onam celebrated at Heritage City College

Heritage City College, Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, celebrated Onam festival ‘Onavill – 2024’ at the College campus on Sept. 11, with cultural activities and competitions among the students. The Festival was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp by Kerala Samajam Mysore President P.S. Nair and attended by retd. IAS Officer A.B. Ibrahim, College Principal and students. ‘King Maveli’ followed with a grand Onam Sadhya. Students had various cultural activities like Thiruvathira dance, singing, musical chair and other competitions. Traditional chendamelam, flower carpet competition and vadamvali — tug-of-war — were the main attractions of the day. Winners were given prizes before conclusion of the programme.
