Mysuru: A one-day seminar on ‘Life and works of Dr. S.P. Yoganna,’ who is also designated-Chairman of first State-level Convention of Kannada Medical Writers Conference-2019, will be held on Mar.17 at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here.
The Seminar is organised jointly by State unit of Indian Medical Association, Bengaluru and District Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
Director of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru Dr. C.N. Manjunath will inaugurate the programme at 10 am.
IMA State Unit President Dr. Madhusudan Kariganur will preside. Retired Medical Professor Dr. S. Chikkamoga will release a handbook on Dr. S.P. Yoganna brought out on the occasion. District Kannada Sahitya Parishath President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna, IMA State Unit, Senior Vice-President Dr. Suresh Rudrappa will be chief guests.
Various experts will present papers on life, works and contributions of Dr. S.P. Yoganna during the seminar. An interaction will be held with Dr.Yoganna.
Valedictory will be held on same day at 5.15 pm. Medical writer and Theatre Personality Dr. H.A. Parshwanath will deliver the keynote address, senior litterateur Dr. C.P. Krishna Kumar will preside. Kuvempu Basha Bharathi President Dr. Pradhan Gurudutta will deliver valedictory address. Litteratteur Dr. Malali Vasanthkumar will be chief guest.
