Mysuru: One person was killed while another sustained serious injuries when a reversing truck hit the bike near TVS Factory at Kadakola on Friday.

While the deceased has been identified as Harsha Kumar alias Harish (23), the seriously injured pillion rider is 51-year-old Suresh, residents of Mulluru village in Nanjangud taluk.

On Friday, Suresh and Harsha had gone to Sindhuvalli on the Hero Splendor bike (KA-09-JD-8678) belonging to Suresh’s son on some work. While returning, a truck (KA-45-9945), which was reversing from a puncture shop near TVS Factory, hit the bike, resulting in Harsha and Suresh sustaining serious injuries. Though both the injured were rushed to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru, Harsha is said to have succumbed to injuries.

Mysuru South Police have registered a case.
