One killed as wall collapses during drain works

Mysuru: A labourer was killed while another sustained serious injuries when a wall collapsed on them when they were undertaking MCC’s drain construction works at Subash Nagar near LIC Circle in city yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Manu (24), a  resident of Duggahatti village in Yalandur taluk of Chamarajanagar district.

Yesterday at about 2.30 pm, Manu along with another labourer were undertaking drain development works of MCC in Subash Nagar coming under Ward No. 16, when the retaining wall of the drain collapsed on them, killing Manu and injuring another, Police said.
