One killed, two injured in bike-scooter collision

Mysuru: One person was killed while two others sustained serious injuries when a bike and a scooter collided near Srirampura Ring Road in city on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as M. Chandru (51), a resident of Rajajinagar at Bogadi 2nd Stage in city. The injured are 75-year-old Mahadevamma, mother of deceased Chandru and Puttaraju, who was riding the scooter.

Chandru, an electrician by profession was proceeding along with his mother on his Splendor Plus bike (KA-09-AW-4213) from Nachanahalli Palya side towards Srirampura Ring Road side when Puttaraju, who came in the opposite direction from Toll Gate side on his TVS Jupitor scooter (KA-09-HP-9833) rammed into the bike.

This resulted on all the three falling on the road and thought they were rushed to a private hospital, Chandru is said to have succumbed to injuries at the hospital. K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case.
