Online fraudsters cheat city resident of Rs. 21.60 lakh

Mysuru:  Online fraudsters, who lured a city resident to invest into shares, have cheated the resident to the tune of Rs. 21.60 lakh.

The victim, a resident of Bogadi in city, joined a WhatsApp group which provides information on share market, where the fraudsters made him believe that he would get huge profits for his investment in shares and in 20 days, the fraudsters got a total of Rs. 21.60 lakh transferred from his Bank account in phases without his knowledge, thus cheating the victim.

A case has been registered at city’s CEN Crime Police Station.
