Mysore/Mysuru: As part of the monthly moonlight music programme, vocalist Pt. Ramesh Kumar Kolkunda will present a Hindustani Music Concert at Suttur Mutt at the foot of Chamundi Hill here at 6 pm today (Apr. 27). He will be accompanied by Pt. Ravichandra D. Dhage on harmonium and Pt. Milind on tabla. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.

Profile: A resident of Bogadi in Mysuru, Pt. Ramesh Kumar Kolkunda has done Master’s in music and Vidwat exam in Hindustani classical music as well as Visharad Purna exam from Ganagandharva Mahavidyalaya in Mumbai. He is a recipient of numerous awards including Yuvachetana Award from Karnataka Sangeeta and Nritya Academy as well as Yuva Kalavida Award in 2005-06 from Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
