Mysore/Mysuru: As part of 125th birth anniversary of Piteelu Chowdaiah and to propagate his compositions, Ganabharathi, Kuvempunagar, has organised a series of online teaching programme of Chowdaiah’s Kritis beginning from tomorrow.
This is a part of the online teaching programme, which Ganabharathi has already launched and will be broadcast every Monday and Thursday at 9 am both on the facebook page of Ganabharathi and YouTube.
Reputed teachers — Vidushi Sukanya Prabhakar, Vidushi Padma Gurudatt, Vidushi G.S. Rajalakshmi, Vidushi R.N. Srilatha, Vidushi Vasudha Keshav and Vidwan Chandan Kumar — are going to teach the students online. Nearly 16 compositions of Chowdaiah will be taught and the scripts of the compositions are available on Ganabharathi website. So far, Ganabharathi has webcast 22 sessions of music lessons.
On Jan. 10, a day-long programme is organised, where well-known musicians will render the compositions of T. Chowdaiah. Ganabharathi is also bringing out a special issue of Tillana to showcase the life and the musical achievements of Chowdaiah. For details contact Mob: 99000-82773.
