Online Music Concert by Vid. SampagoduVighnaraja

Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting an online vocal concert by Vid. Sampagodu S. Vighnaraja on the YouTube channelof the Sabha at 5 pm on Saturday (Aug. 21).

SampagoduVighnaraja is one of the young multi-talented vocalists of Karnataka, known for his skills in flute and slide guitar as well. He received his training in music from his father Vid. D. S. Suryanarayana Bhat, a direct disciple under GNB School and Vid. D. N. Subramanya Bhat. He has bagged many awards such as ‘Shatkala Kala GaanaPrathibhamani’, ‘AnanyaYuvaPuraskar’, ‘Aryabhata’ etc.

He will be accompanied by senior artistes, Vidu. Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth on violin, Vid. Arjun Kumar on mridanga and Vid. U. GiridharUdupa on ghata. Music-lovers are requested to watch the concert by visiting Sabha’s YouTube channel at Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, according to a press release from Vid. H. K. Narasimhamurthy, Vice-President of the Sabha.
