Online ‘Project Exhibition-2020’ features 40 plus working models

Mysore/Mysuru: The ‘Project Exhibition-2020’ was organised online by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, in association with ISLE Student Chapter, Karnataka Centre, recently.

J.N. Bhavani Prasad, former Director General, Central Public Work Department (CPWD), Government of India, Senior Member, ISLE, Karnataka State Centre, was the chief guest for the event. Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW,  Dr. P.S. Puttaswamy, Professor & Head, Department of EEE, staffs and students of Department and participants from various Engineering Colleges attended the event.

The chief guest addressed the fellow participants to build innovative projects and inculcate the entrepreneurial skills to become job creators than the job seekers.

Stating that projects give relief from normal academic activities and give more insight about technical knowledge, he suggested students to continue their research and project works in the field of Electrical Engineering. Students from various colleges and GSSSIETW presented their project models in the event and showcased their innovative talent.

Jury members for the event were M.G. Sathyendra, Secretary, ISLE, Karnataka State Centre, Dr. S. Padmashree, Professor, Department of ECE, GSSSIETW, Dr. B.D. Parameshachari, Professor and Head, Department of TCE, GSSSIETW and Dr. P.S. Puttaswamy, Professor & Head, Department of EEE, GSSSIETW.

Four adjudged ‘Best Projects’ 

The projects were demonstrated in four parallel sessions. Among the project models presented by 40 plus teams of students, the following four projects were adjudged as the ‘Best Projects’ and awarded cash prizes along with  participation certificates:

1. ‘Smart Agrobot (Multi-Purpose Economical Feasible Agriculture Robot)’ by M. Sandeep, N.M. Samarth Raj, H.J. Raghava and C.S. Shreejan of Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET), Mysuru.

2. ‘Development of Glass Cleaning Robot for Buildings’ by H.R. Karthik, B. Jayakumar, K.R. Pooja and B.V. Shwetha of ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru.

3. ‘A Solar Power Assisted Lithium-Ion Battery Balancing System for Electric Vehicles’ by Madhu Bhimappa, Chavan Pratibhas and Melmalagi Priyankab of Tontadarya College of Engineering, Gadag.

4. ‘Electric Bangle for Women Safety’ by M. Vellimani, Rizwanarahat, Annapurna S. Kalgutkar and B.K. Mahalakshmi of GSSSIETW, Mysuru.

All other teams which presented working models and simulation studies too received participation certificates.
