Online vocal concert

Mysore/Mysuru: On the auspicious occasion of Navarathri, a special Karnatak vocal concert by senior artiste Vid. Bellary M. Raghavendra will be premiered as part of the weekly online concert series of Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru, on its YouTube channel at 5 pm on Saturday (Oct. 17) .

Vidwan Bellary Raghavendra hails from a great musical lineage of Haridasa Vijayadasaru. His grandfather, Mundargi Raghavendrachar, was a faculty at Queen Mary’s College, Chennai. Raghavendra is blessed to have two illustrious gurus, his father, Bellary Venkateshachar and uncle, Bellary Sheshagiri Achar. 

He worked as Assistant Station Director of AIR and has the credit of producing some spectacular musical features. Besides being a graded artiste of AIR in Karnatak classical, devotional and light music, Raghavendra is well versed in Hindustani music, Kunnakol and morching as well. He has given concerts in several reputed platforms in India and abroad. 

Vid. Raghavendra will be accompanied in the concert by eminent senior artistes Vid. H. L. Shiavashankaraswamy on mridanga and Vid. V. S. Ramesh on morching. [Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stssct
