Mysuru: The Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Mysuru, hosted an ‘Open House’ event from May 9 to 11, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members and the general public.
The three-day event provided a platform to explore the institute’s technical capabilities and educational programmes. The event was inaugurated by Principal Director Shrikanth Shirali, in the presence of key officials, including Technical Officer Anmol, Officer Vidyasagar and Head of Quality Department Raghu.
CIPET, a premier national institution dedicated to developing skilled professionals for the polymer, petrochemical and plastics industries, showcased its expertise in product design, mould-making, polymer processing and quality testing services during the event.
Students from institutions like MIT College of Engineering, St. Joseph’s PU College, GTTC, Bharathi College and SJCE Polymer Engineering Department engaged with CIPET experts, gaining valuable industry insights.
Addressing the gathering, Technical Officer Anmol highlighted the abundant opportunities within the polymer and plastics industry.
He also outlined the diploma programmes and free skill development courses offered by CIPET, aimed at empowering unemployed youths in Karnataka and fostering entrepreneurship through skill-based education.
