Operate Mysuru-Hazrat Nizamuddin Swarna Jayanti Express on Tri-weekly basis

Sir,

The Mysuru – Hazrat Nizamuddin Swarna Jayanti SF Express is the only train from Mysuru to connect to New Delhi via Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagaavi, Pune, Bhopal and Agra. The train runs via Mysuru-Hassan line but only on a Weekly basis.

As there is no facility of a daily service connectivity to New Delhi from Mysuru, there is now a need to increase the train’s existing frequency of up to three days a week by augmenting an additional rake.

Since long, post the extension of the train to run via Hassan, the train has not witnessed much changes related to increase in frequency of operations from the existing weekly service  to either a Tri-Weekly or a Daily service.

By increasing the frequency of this train at least on a Tri-Weekly basis the need to travel to Bengaluru will be cut down and hence passengers will get the benefit of boarding a regular direct train from Mysuru itself.

Also due to non-availability of a Daily direct train to New Delhi from Mysuru, one is forced to change trains at Bengaluru only.

Further it is also requested to postpone the existing departure at Mysuru from 8.10 pm to 11 pm. The proposed change in schedule will facilitate regular commuters as the existing schedule only causes an inconvenience (the train leaves very early at 8.10 pm)

Hence in the interim, until a new daily train service to New Delhi via Bengaluru is introduced from Mysuru, the Railway authorities concerned are requested to look into the suggestion of operating 12781/12782 Mysuru – Hazrat Nizamuddin Swarna Jayanti SF Express from Weekly to at least Tri-Weekly Superfast Express.
